Eden Rogers - Miss Rain Day 2017

"Eden, Miss Rain Day 2017, attends Waynesburg Central High School and is the daughter of Jason and Shelly Rogers. She’s currently a junior, 16 years old and learning to drive. She has one sibling, Calvin, who just started college. She is a straight-A student and currently trying her first on-line college class through West Virginia University.

In school, Eden plays the trumpet and mellophone for marching band and French horn for concert band. She takes harp lessons outside of school at West Virginia University’s Creative Arts Center.

Eden enjoys reading in her free time and is on the Reading Competition team. Her favorite class this year is Art History. She runs track at the end of the year, where she participate in hurdles. Track is not her main priority, but a fun way to stay in shape.

She has been dancing at Moschetta’s Performing Arts Center since she was three. She studies tap, ballet, and pointe.

Eden works summers at a church camp, which can be challenging, but is ultimately rewarding. She works with third to seventh graders.

This July, Eden was privileged to be selected to represent Greene County at local events as Miss Rain Day, a scholarship pageant that focuses on academic achievement.”
